Information we collect
We collect your email address when you create an account. We also collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited and filters applied, to improve the service. We do not collect payment information — our service is free.
How we use your information
Your email address is used solely to send you account confirmation emails and, if you opt in, daily alert emails for saved property searches. We never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.
Data storage
Your account data is stored securely in Supabase (a hosted PostgreSQL database). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser localStorage to track how many listings you have viewed (for the freemium limit). This data never leaves your device. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Third-party services
We use Supabase for database and authentication, Vercel for hosting, and Unsplash for background images. None of these services receive your personal data beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing contact@govhomelistings.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Property listing data
All property listings displayed on this site are sourced from official government agencies (HUD, USDA, county governments). We do not own or control this data. For questions about specific listings, contact the relevant agency directly.
